Building Carbon Zero California 2014

The What: Passive House California’s (PHCA) annual conference, Building Carbon Zero California, will focus on how we can move California towards the carbon reduction goals mandated by the State of California while increasing the health and comfort of our built environment. There will be in-depth presentations given by experts and a specially curated selection of product vendors and manufacturers who will showcase the materials and equipment essential to building healthy, comfortable, and high performance buildings. A tour of local high performance projects will also be offered to attendees.

The organizers of this event have worked closely with the City of Santa Cruz as well as other regional businesses and organizations. Alex Wilson of BuildingGreen.com will join the conference as keynote speaker and Nick Grant of the UK Passivhaus Trust will join as the international guest presenter. Presentation topics include lessons learned from actual projects, deep energy retrofit strategies, foam-free high performance solutions, and many more.

The When: Wednesday, March 26th, 2014, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The Where: The event will take place at Cocoanut Grove Ballroom, 400 Beach Street, Santa Cruz, California.
