The What: Ecoweek 2015-Greece, International Conference & Sustainable Design Workshops with the theme of Sustainability in Public Space, will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece this November. In its 10th year, the conference brings together presenters from Greece and Spain to Netherlands and Germany and inspirational topics ranging from Societal Equity Through Sustainable Design to Nanotechnology in Design. ECOWEEK the organization is an international non-governmental non-profit organization with the mission to raise awareness on environmental issues, climate change and to promote the principles of sustainability. Established in Greece in 2005, ECOWEEK is active in more than 15 countries with a network of students and young professionals in more than 40 countries around the world. ECOWEEK is about education, cooperation, and sustainable design and its programs are inspired by the vision of Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy to empower young professionals to benefit their communities.

The Where: The event will take place at various locations in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Who: Students and young professionals, mainly in the fields of architecture, design, landscape architecture, and environmental engineering, who are passionate about the environment, climate change, and sustainability.
The How: Registration is closed.
The Details: The week begins with architectural site visits and sketching sessions throughout the city. The conference will host various panel discussions, workshops, networking opportunities, and an Exhibition of Student Projects on Public Open Spaces + International Student Competition 2014: Re-designing the cityscape from the forest to the seafront: Tritis Septemvriou Street, Thessaloniki, Greece. Speakers include Norwegian architect Einar Jarmund, Greek architects Prodromos Nikiforidis and Bernard Cuomo, Kosovo architect Argjira Krasniqi, and many more.
