About the event

This educational AIAU webinar investigates how architects can leverage emerging artificial intelligence technologies to evaluate risk, test scenarios, and inform resilient design strategies from early project concepts through development. Attendees will examine the practical usability and integration of AI-driven digital twins and large language models into existing workflows. In addition to exploring effective prompting methods for dependable project outputs, the session addresses the reliability, limitations, and essential professional judgment required when evaluating AI-generated findings. The live online course is presented in partnership with the AIA Resilience and Disaster Response Committee.

What you’ll learn

  • Evaluate how AI tools can aid in making resilient design decisions during the early phases of a project, including feasibility and scenario analysis.
  • Apply strategies to effectively prompt AI tools to generate meaningful, reliable outputs that inform design outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI-driven tools into existing architectural workflows.
  • Assess the reliability and limitations of AI-generated insights when designing for resilience, and incorporate appropriate professional judgment.
