The Third Annual North American Passive House Network Conference & Expo: Decarbonize Our Future Today will take place on June 13th-14th in New York City, New York, United States. The climate crisis is a clear and present danger to our security and prosperity. This challenge has been taken up by city, state and national governments – drafting public policies that demand we make the necessary carbon emissions reductions. Realizing very low-energy/Passive House buildings are essential in the implementation of these policies – to prevent locking current buildings into long-term, unsustainable emission rates. Passive House applied to both new construction and retrofits can reduce heating and cooling energy by 90% and overall energy usage by 75%, effectively enabling wide spread application of net zero and energy positive buildings.
