The Building Lasting Change 2015, CaGBC National Conference and Expo will take place on June 2nd – 4th in Vancouver, Canada. We are at a crossroads.The effects of climate change are now being felt across the world with visible environmental, economic and social impacts. Mitigation to reduce carbon emissions is only slowly taking hold. With green building considered one of the most organized responses to climate change worldwide, Building Lasting Change 2015 will provide the platform to hear Canadian and global experts share their insights. The focus is on how green building and sustainable neighbourhood development contribute to building resilient cities and enhancing human health and well-being while helping regenerate our natural environment.
The keynotes will be given by Professor Dr. Michael Braungart of MBDC and Edward Maria of Architecture 2030. Educational sessions are broken down into five categories: Transitioning to LEED v4 : The Path to Continuous Improvement; New Tools and Programs to Increase Performance and Resiliency in Green Buildings; International Green Building Innovations: What Can We Learn?; Regenerative Design: The New Paradigm; and Closing The Performance Gap: Realizing the Full Benefits of Green Buildings.
