Frame Australia 2015 Conference and Exhibition, Building with Engineered Wood Construction Systems, will take place on June 1st in Melbourne, Australia. Residential construction using timber and engineered wood building systems is rapidly becoming the future for developers and builders to meet the challenges of increased density and height of housing in the inner and middle suburbs, along with the need to lower costs to ensure project viability and housing affordability. Multi-residential developers of medium-density and infill construction are moving to prefabricated timber frame and engineered wood building systems to achieve increased speed of construction, reduced labour on-site, improved health and safety, higher quality buildings, with up to 25% reduction in overall development costs. Educational sessions include the following: Sustainable Solutions for Future Building Construction; Building Codes and Engineering; Wood Construction System Benefits; and Timber Building Projects Supply Chain.
