A webinar focusing on ZNE in CA: Lessons Learned, Tools, Trends & New Technology Guides will take place online on January 20th. California is leading the U.S. in zero energy buildings and policy thanks to the great leadership and commitment of building innovators and early-adopter owners. Part one will provide a 30-minute overview of emerging trends, lessons learned from the first group of ZNE Early Adopters in California, and new tools and resources available to support policymakers, designers, advocates and champions.
The second part will provide a one-hour overview of three new ZNE Technology Application Guides. Developed by New Buildings Institute for California, these guides provide information on readily available leading-edge technologies found in today’s ZNE buildings, including: Luminaire Level Lighting Control, Radiant Heating and Cooling + Dedicated Outdoor Air Supply, and Indirect Evaporative Cooling. These featured technologies were selected through a group of architect and engineering advisors experienced in ultra-low and zero energy design. The guides describe the technology, its features and benefits, and illustrate energy performance from both modeled and measured results. There are project application examples, overviews on costs and trends and a list of related resources.
