Wastebuild, the event for a circular and regenerative built environment, will take place on November 5th – 6th, 2019 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The outdated linear model of TAKE – MAKE – WASTE is dead. Public and private organisations across the world are investing in and adopting robust circular economy roadmaps, not only because we have to, but because the circular economy makes business and financial sense.
WasteBuild is the first and only international built environment event with the dedicated ambition to eliminate global waste. Today, the construction process accounts for 40% – 50% of all materials used globally and for 20% of the waste created. Increasing public awareness and an appetite to tackle waste in all forms is encouraging the adoption of robust circular economy roadmaps across all governments, with innovations in the built environment critical to every plan. This movement away from the old linear ‘take, make, waste’ approach towards a circular economy is backed up by regulations, standards and initiatives like that described in the BAMB video opposite.
WasteBuild 2019 is the only event dedicated to the international architecture, engineering and construction community and to specifically understanding the opportunities that the circular economy brings. Learn, be inspired and do business at WasteBuild 2019 and make sure your organisation is maximising the opportunities of the new circular built environment.
WasteBuild is a free to attend two day exhibition, bringing together a community of like-minded built environment innovators who are committed to doing something about the global waste crisis.
Held in the RAI in Amsterdam, WasteBuild gathers together 2,000 attendees from across the built environment to network, share best practice and be inspired by innovators and specialists from the emerging circular design and build world. Combined with the stand-alone conference programme containing 50 of the world’s leading experts, WasteBuild will showcase over 100 sponsors and exhibitors who are innovating and inspiring with new circular building materials and techniques.
WasteBuild is an international marketplace for architects, engineers, clients and developers to meet with building materials manufacturers and innovators in construction techniques and for everyone to learn, share best practice and do business. Cradle to cradle, design for disassembly and the circular economy are central themes and will be at the heart of the discussion. Developers are exploring these techniques and are looking for designers and delivery teams who can deliver successful schemes.
By highlighting the opportunities that exist in this space today WasteBuild will accelerate the built environments take-up of these materials and techniques and thereby be a catalyst for the process of eliminating waste.
