Opening the Loop: Examining Net Positive Water in NYC will take place on August 12th in New York, New York, United States. In an in-depth study, the Living Building Challenge Collaborative NY+NJ has researched the landscape of water issues in NYC as seen through the lens of LBC’s Net Positive Water imperative. Please join us as the Collaborative shares their findings from the forthcoming report. Rollie Jones and Jennifer Preston will discuss the feasibility and challenges of producing net positive water buildings including a gap analysis of existing codes and potential solutions which would facilitate meeting this goal.

Learning Objectives: Outline existing policies for water in NYC; Detail net positive water requirements for Living building Challenge; Describe Collaborative’s gap analysis for existing, urban water systems; and Engage the audience to determine general public outlook of feasibility of water petal in NYC.
