Net Zero Northeast, Plan, Design, and Build for Net Zero will take place on October 9 in Montpelier, Vermont. This conference is the region’s first technical summit on Net Zero Construction. Across the U.S. and in Vermont, thousands of building owners and professionals are pursuing the path to net zero energy. As momentum builds, Efficiency Vermont and New Buildings Institute are convening a summit to facilitate the sharing of best practices with commercial building designers, engineers, owners, and operators.
Keynote speaker Steven Strong will define the key challenges and responses to achieving NZE and in going beyond net zero to produce an energy surplus to support the electrical grid and electric vehicles. Breakout sessions include topics on planning, renovating, implementation, and community considerations in achieving NZE. Speakers include Ralph DiNola from New Buildings Institute, Paul Markowitz from Efficiency Vermont, Linda McGinnis from the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps , and many others.
