Net Positive Energy + Water Conference 2015 will take place on January 22nd – 23rd, 2015 in San Francisco, California. The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) will host the Conference, bringing together leading experts from around the world to develop net zero energy and water concepts through the restorative framework of the Living Building Challenge, the world’s most rigorous green building standard. Keynote Speakers include Sandra Postel of the Global Water Policy Project, Steven Strong of Solar Design Associates, and Amanda Sturgeon of the International Living Future Institute. The Conference is a high-energy level event that features network building opportunities, building tours of Net Zero Energy buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area, and stimulating educational sessions lead by thought leaders and experienced practitioners in the industry.
Tours will feature the Packard Foundation Headquarters which is NZE certified by ILFI, the West Berkeley Public Library – California’s First NZE Library, the Exploratorium – the largest NZE museum in the United States, Zero Cottage, and a few other exciting, cutting-edge ZNE buildings. Session topics include: Achieving a Net Positive District System in Washington, D.C., Net Positive Energy and Water in Affordable Housing; Building the Case for Net Positive Energy Retrofits; and other topics.
