The Biomimicry and Resilience Workshop – Biomimicry New England will take place on June 4th-8th in Gloucester, MA, United States. Want to learn how to build a resilient world while paddling through a salt marsh and walking through a forest? Biomimicry is the practice of emulating life’s time-tested strategies and deep patterns to generate sustainable designs. Resilience is the ability of a system to continue to function following a disturbance such as those brought on by climate destabilization, economic bursts, and social instability. Biomimicry New England is offering a summer workshop where experts in ecology, biomimicry, and design will help you explore the wild lands of New England learning the tools and techniques to help sustainability professionals, resilience officers, and design professionals create impacts that will last.
The workshop offers a reprieve from normal life, and provides a lens to deeply engage with resilience in natural systems. Through the four days we will explore new ways of valuing and looking to nature to help us create resilient systems in an ever-changing world.
