The 15th National Conference and Global Forum on Science, Policy and the Environment: Energy and Climate Change will take place on January 26th – 29th, 2015 in Washington, D.C. The Conference and Forum will develop and advance partnerships that focus on transitioning the world to a new “low carbon” and “climate resilient” energy system. It will emphasize putting ideas into action – moving forward on policy and practice. Join over 1,200 leaders in science and engineering, policy and governance, businesses and civil society, and education to expand and accelerate their efforts and work across the traditional boundaries. Inspiring speakers, informative sessions, amazing opportunities to network and form new relationships, start new projects, and advance solutions.
The first day will feature the National Energy Education Summit. The second day will start off with introductions by Governor Bill Richardson and Keynote by Dr. Ernest Moniz, U.S. Secretary of Energy, while symposiums will focus on various themes ranging from Integrating Clean Energy Across Scales, Green Buildings, United Nations Sustainable Energy for All to Low and Zero-Net Carbon Campuses, Geothermal Energy, and Carbon Markets: Lessons From Around the World. The third and fourth days will feature speakers including Michael Bloomberg, Former Mayor of New York City, Mary Nichols, Chairman of the California Air Resources Board, Amory Lovins, Cofounder, Chairman & Chief Scientist of Rocky Mountain Institute, and many others.
